BoatSheen specialises in care and maintenance products for boats, though many of our products are equally suited to caravans and motorhomes – we don’t do anything else.
We supply advanced wax, polymer glaze and 9H Ceramic Glasscoat systems for boat hulls and all fibreglass surfaces such as caravans and motorhomes. Our range includes high-tech formulations and traditional boat waxes, shampoos and polishes, treatments for fabric, leather and vinyl, kits for restoring clarity to acrylic and flexible sprayhood windows, plus biodegradable and environmentally friendly cleaning preparations. Our bottles are all recyclable.
Our products are carefully selected for ease of use, taking into account the large areas to be covered and the demanding requirements of the marine and fresh-water environment.
Environmental Statement
All our boat cleaning products are readily biodegradable, which means that they are capable of being broken down by biological action. They can pass safely through the sewage system without causing environmental damage. There are NO micro-plastic beads in ANY of our products.
Cleaning products should always be used with care and should not be discharged neat directly into ecologically sensitive areas, where they could cause damage before they are broken down. If our dilution guidelines are followed then our products are safe to use directly on your boat and will not harm the environment.
Many of our products are polished off the boat as part of the process of using them, so clean your cloths at home where the residues will go into the foul water system. Water Authorities pump oxygen into sewerage to assist breakdown. Products like shampoo are used diluted and washed off in a very weak solution. They will not harm fresh or salt-water environments except where stated (one product only – Propeller Cleaner). Our bottles and caps are fully recyclable.
Who are we?
BoatSheen is a subsidiary operation of Morethanpolish Ltd, its former sister company which formally took it over on 1 July 2021, having run it for the previous 6 years. So the staff you deal with still have the product knowledge of many years to assist you with.

We are located in a modern business unit only 5 minutes off the A1 immediately south of Stamford. Follow the signs to Burghley House and continue to Barnack. We welcome personal callers Monday-Friday 9-5:30. Please ignore any old listings showing us in Essendine.
Background
The company was founded in 2007 by John Pye, who first became a boat nut by converting and living on a traditional wooden narrowboat in his 20’s. Dinghy sailing and international yachting came later.
John was personally and enthusiastically involved in the operation of the business from its inception, and handed the business over to extended family member Mark Wibberley in 2015. If you have any questions or comments, you can contact him directly by using the contact form.
